I have received 2 alerts to correct my TIN to continue receiving payouts. I have reviewed everything and the info is correct. Customer Support was of limited help. I called the IRS to make sure I was entering the correct information. IRS is sending me a new verification letter that I can upload, but that will take 10 to 14 days. The alert says correct TIN by March 6 to continue receiving payments. Bottom line, the TIN information is correct. I have used that EIN for many many years. Not sure what to do at this point other than put my shop on pause since I cannot afford to have Shopify keep payments that my customers provide for products I ship to them. Anything you can do to help would be appreciated.
the same problem here. since Shopify has sold out just like everyone else, you only get chat support and they can’t help with this problem. I was told my problem had been escalated but Shopify is dragging their ass and has not gotten back to me with a solution. again, nothing has changed on my end, I verified its all correct and they are saying its not. WHY???
Have you received a response yet? I have been waiting for over a month for someone from Shopify to provide me an update on something they need to do on their end in response to this same type of issue.
No! All they do is give you the standard BS and it never gets taken care of. It took them several days to even reply to my so-called “escalated” case with again, the standard BS. Shopify has turned into just another company that doesn’t care about customer service. If they did, they would still provide phone support. It’s very disappointing! I have reached out to the IRS for the tax document examples that Shopify asks for but it takes ten to 14 days to arrive. Hopefully, this will take care of things. I’m sorry you’re having to deal with this as well.
