For anyone dealing with EU right-of-withdrawal compliance (Directive 2023/2673) — built a small automation that handles this end-to-end using only free, native Shopify apps. No make automation, no Zapier, no third-party subscription.

What it does: customer submits a withdrawal request form on your storefront (name, order ID, email, optional note) → gets an instant on-page confirmation → receives a branded confirmation email automatically, with their order reference and the 14-day deadline clearly stated. Everything lands in your Shopify Admin as a customer record, ready for you to review and process the refund manually.

The part I think is actually worth mentioning: it runs fully on the Basic plan. A lot of automation setups for this kind of thing lean on Make automation or an HTTP request integration, which pushes you onto Grow/Advanced just to get the plan-gated action. This one doesn’t need that — it’s built entirely with native Shopify functionality, so there’s no plan upgrade and no monthly automation-tool bill.

Any reason why you’re not on the official shopify appstore? Or could I just not find the app there (could be due to the amount of apps there)…?

Good question, it’s not an app, so it wouldn’t show up on the App Store. It’s a step-by-step guide that walks you through configuring the native Shopify apps you already have (Forms, Flow, Flow Transactional Email) to work together for this specific use case, no code gets installed on your store, nothing runs as a separate app in your admin.

I went this route instead of building a listed app for two reasons: it means zero ongoing subscription for you (you’re just using Shopify’s own free tools), and it means you fully own and can customize the setup, no forced updates or losing access if a third-party app gets deprecated.

Trade-off is it takes ~30-60 min of hands-on setup instead of a one-click install. If that’s not what you’re looking for, totally fair.

Ah ok. I think because of the use of the word “built”, I read it meaning that you’ve programmed something yourself, not selling how to set up something that is connecting the steps of things which are already available for the user for free.
