Checkout rules section is missing on my store

Hi there,

I have a checkout extensibility preview store and an app installed that includes cart and checkout validation extensions. However, upon installing the app, the “Checkout rules” section is missing from my store.

I tried accessing the “Checkout rules” section through the following link: https://admin.shopify.com/store//settings/checkout, but there is no option to add a checkout rule.

When I created a new app and deployed the extension on that app, the rules appeared as expected, and I was able to add my checkout rule to my store. However, when attempting to deploy the extension to an older app, the rules section is not available, and the extension shows up in the extensions section in the app settings.

I’ve tried everything I possibly could, but unfortunately, I haven’t had any luck resolving this issue. If someone could assist me with this problem, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.

Hi Dardan1,

This issue sounds like it’s caused by some configuration with the older app since the “Checkout rules” section was appearing prior to being deployed to that specific app. To rule this out, if you create a new app boilerplate with the Shopify CLI is the page appearing as expected?

Hi Liam,

So yeah as mentioned above when I deploy this extension to a newer app it works as expected and the checkout rules appear. But on older apps the checkout rules section does not appear when deploying the extension to that app

Were you able to make the extension work with the old app? I’m facing a similar issue with an app I’m trying to add a Shopify Function for.

Hi, no I was not able to make this work with my old app but I am hoping that when it releases fully it will fix itself
