Customer Notification Emails - Disable Automation?

Is there ever going to be an update that allows a store to disable certain automatic customer emails such as the ‘order confirmation’ emails? It’s insanely frustrating as a brand owner to have such limited artistic capabilities when it comes to designing order confirmations that go with the brand vibe.

Using 3rd party apps, such as Klaviyo and the such has allowed for that creative freedom but because of the lack of ability to disable the notifications sent by Shopify, we’re forced to have 2 emails sent out… one with nice clean branding and the other a subpar HTML design.

Unfortunately, I think Shopify doesn’t allow you to fully disable the order confirmation emails. However, you can customize these emails directly in Shopify to better align with your brand’s vibe. While this might not offer the full creative freedom of third-party apps like Klaviyo, adjusting the HTML and CSS can help improve their appearance.

Another workaround is to use a third-party app to intercept these emails and ensure that only your custom-designed emails are sent out. I used a tool for this too so it’s more organized and efficient.
