Hi,
I am trying to use the sync feature to only have to enter metafields on draft orders and make them carry over to converted orders.
I have a free text field call Customer PO# in my Draft Orders metafields. I want to have it sync with Orders, once the draft order converts. I don’t have the field created in Orders.
When I try to sync them, I get a failure to sync message:
Matching definition deleted
The matching order definition was deleted. Remove the sync between the two definitions to continue.
Remove sync
Has anyone gotten this to work?
The Help section on this is pretty sparse.
Do I need to have the same metafields already created for both drafts and orders? I want the data to go from draft to order. If I already have the metafields created and in use for orders, do I have to delete them from orders and then just use the ones for draft? Will that affect orders that have the metafields already attached to them? Does it only work on validated data or can you use free text fields?
