Edit Password Page Text

Hello, I am very new to shopify and I cannot figure out how to edit the text on my password page. I have attached a few photos to show the view from my end. I want to edit the text that currently says “HFC will be launching August 1” but I only see options to edit the photos and the CSS.

Thank you!

Hi Molly,

On your admin dashboard, go to the Online Store tab. Then you should see your themes there. Next to the Customize button of your active theme there are 3 dots. Click that and go to “Edit default theme content”.
Then find the Storefront Password tab, and you should be able to edit the text in there.

Let me know if you have any issues with that, and if this works for you please give me a like and accepted solution :slightly_smiling_face:

Hi, I see the password section, but I am not clear on which box I would edit to change the text. Any insight?

Hi @mollykearns

In your password page from here.

And this will come out right.

click the Password page in your image.

This will come out or the page.

Below that there will be header, or paragraph will come out.

And find in the rights side to edit.

And Save.

Unfortunately I do not have the options that you show in your image 2 when I go to edit my password page. These are the only options that appear, nothing that says email sign up banner or any options at all.

If you’d like to grant me store access briefly I’d be happy to take a closer look for you :slightly_smiling_face:

How do I do that? Thanks

Did you try to add another section?

I will send you a collaborator request - what is your stores URL?

You can also familiarize yourself with how it works on this useful article :slightly_smiling_face:

Thanks for the link, I am very new to shopify as I said. :slightly_smiling_face: My store’s url is happyflowerceramics.com

Hi Mollykearns,

  • Log in to your Shopify admin panel.
  • Go to Online Store > Preferences.
  • Scroll down to the Password protection section.
  • Here, you can set the password and customize the message that visitors see when they land on your password page.
