Feature Request: Primary fulfillment registration for VAT cross border

  • Scenario: Merchant has VAT registrations in both DE and CZ. Fulfillment location is DE. CZ B2B customer with valid CZ VAT ID should qualify for reverse charge (DE→CZ cross-border), but Shopify applies CZ local VAT instead because a CZ registration exists.

  • Request: Allow merchants to designate a primary fulfillment registration that takes precedence for reverse charge logic, regardless of whether a local registration exists in the customer’s country.

  • Impact: Affects any EU merchant registered in multiple countries who fulfills from a single location.
