Github Integration not working for collaborators on private repository

I am the owner of a private github repo which is connected to Shopify - everything works perfectly as long as I am the only one using the repo. Now I want to bring in an other developer who wants to link another github branch from the same repo to a theme - via his own github account which has full access to the repository.

But for some reason he can not connect the repo to shopify via his account.

He can access other repos which he created himself, but not the one I created and shared with him for collaboration.

Is this a bug? Is there a way to make this work?

I’m having the same problem but with my own account. I’m a collaborator, but want to connect to my github account.

Did you manage to get this working at all?

I managed to connect to my Github repo by logging into the store via the Partner dashboard instead of directly through the store. Your developer may have to do the same.
