Shopify requires a UA code, however Google do not seem to be issuing them any more as they are phasing them out by July. Going in to my Google account I cannot create a UA code, it simply won’t allow it. Shopify will not allow a code that isn’t UA (errors saying the code needs to start with UA).
Where do I go from here?
Can someone please move this issue to the top because I have 2 shopify pages and google analytics is very important to me and my customers. Everything that I have researched on line is outdated and leads no where. If you guys (shopify) is having trouble with analytics from google please let us know or if there is a future date in which this will be resolved please let us know. And most of us who worked with google analytics will understand. They can be difficult
