Headless stores - custom checkout & customizer

Hi there,

I’m about to create several headless shopify stores which should be synced in terms of cart & checkout process in order for customer to see products from different stores in the cart and further to make a single order purchase.

What’s the best way to achieve this:

  1. Different Shopify Accounts with headless store & then build a custom checkout outside of Shopify
  • this way we can merge products, generate orders and further split them to send into Shopify Admin panels;
  1. Once Shopify account with various Sales Channels (1 sales channel per 1 headless store):
  • is it possible to have several headless stores connected to one account?
  • can we use different domains for each headless store?
  • is it possible to display products from other headless stores in the cart/checkout only?
  • can we configure a separate domain for a Shopify checkout?

In addition, is there an option to integrate native Shopify Customizer into Headless Store to prevent any 3d party CMS usage?

When you say “build a custom checkout outside of Shopify” does this mean orders will not be processed on the native Shopify checkout?
