How can I add a static background image to my homepage?

I want to add a background image to my homepage that works as a full background for both the sections and the page as a whole. An example is this website that I am taking as inspiration to do the UX design of my website: https://karocrafts.com/. I have tried putting my background image to the sections individually, meaning I add the snippet to the theme’s code and then add it individually to each section. Where as the effect I would like to create is to have each section’s background transparent, while the background image scrolls through the whole homepage… Does anybody have a solution for this?? Thanks a lot!!

Please add the code to theme.liquid file, after in Online Store > Themes > Edit code

Just add the code, save your file and check on your online store.

I can see the image is behind the homepage because there is a little part at the top with the texture of the background image I want and I am guessing behind all of the other sections as well, but when I set the background to transparent in. each section , the background will go white instead of having the picture that I input in the theme.liquid file of the theme.
