I’m a developer working for a logistics company. We manage order fulfillment for multiple customers, and many of them use Shopify to handle their order management.
I need to build a Shopify app that will allow our system to retrieve orders (and potentially other data like fulfillments and tracking information) from our customers’ stores.
Each of our customers has their own Shopify organization, meaning they are completely separate businesses with separate Shopify accounts.
My question is the following:
Is it possible to create a Shopify app from the Developer Dashboard of my Partner account and install that same app across multiple stores that belong to different Shopify organizations, without publishing it to the Shopify App Store?
In other words, can one Partner-created app be installed on many independent customer stores (across different organizations)?
I want to make sure I choose the correct distribution type and architecture before going further with development.
