Hi,
I have an issue that I have spent 2 days on with Lightspeed to no avail, but maybe it’s actually a Shopify issue??
I have Shopify as our online store, and Lightspeed aka LS, as our POS. Each is a different location. When adding a new product in LS and publishing from LS to Shopify, the quantity of an item does not sync. This only seems to happen with new products. Anyway, I have to manually go in to shopify and enter the quantity (That is a quick fix). However, when doing so, it totals the quantity as to what we have. For example: We have 3 of an item. 3 show in LS, AND 3 show in Shopify after I manually enter is so customer can order online (if I don’t do this, they get an error and available shows 0). However. this makes the total quantity to 6 as it counts the online and pos “available” together. I hope I’m explaining this correctly.
The bottom line is that when a purchase is made either online or POS, that it is reflected on both online and pos simutaneously. Its like a transaction has to pull from one source of inventory. I don’t know if that is even possible when having multiple locations. ![]()
This discrepancy has been a problem for customers and we don’t want them not buying from us.
Also, I just noticed then when I look at a product, SKU 10320 it says 5 are in stock, however, when clicking on the product, is says 0 is available. THAT is where I am having this problem. And then when manually adjusting it, it totals is wrong
Hope you can help! lnrchobbies.com
