Google shoes me 0 views today yet shopify shows me a lot more, I’d the shopify analytics accurate?
Hello @ozinsignia ,
This is Gina from flareAI app helping Shopify merchants get $6Million+ in sales from Google Search, on autopilot.
It is not uncommon for there to be discrepancies between the data shown on Google Analytics and the data shown on Shopify analytics. This is because the two platforms use different methods for tracking and reporting website traffic.
Shopify analytics tracks all of the visits and actions taken on your Shopify store, including page views, sales, and other events. This data is collected directly from your website and is considered to be more accurate for measuring store performance.
Google Analytics, on the other hand, uses a tracking code that is embedded in your website to collect data about website traffic and user behavior. However, there can be issues with tracking accuracy due to factors such as ad blockers, privacy settings, and technical issues.
In general, Shopify analytics should be considered the more accurate source of data for tracking your store’s performance. However, it is still a good idea to use both Google Analytics and Shopify analytics together to get a more complete picture of your website traffic and user behavior.

Hi @ozinsignia ,
As @flareAI has pointed out, there may be discrepancies between Shopify and other software:
Sometimes you may need to refer to different tools for different bits of information. Your store analytics are specific to your store, whereas you can probably get more context for consumer behavior from third-party tools like Google Analytics.
What is it that you sell? How are sales doing?
