As we know that we can import products via CSV, but we don’t have this option for collections and menu. We need this option if we have large number of collections and menu.

Shopify currently supports CSV import only for products. There is no native CSV import option for collections or navigation menus, even if you have a large number of them.
Available options:
- Use third-party apps (e.g., Matrixify, Excelify) to bulk create collections and menus.

Managing many collections and menus can get overwhelming. Doing this one by one on the website takes a lot of time. A CSV import option would simplify the whole process. It would help store owners stay organized. This feels like a useful feature to add.
This is a common pain point for larger stores. Shopify doesn’t currently support CSV imports for collections or navigation, so you’ll need to rely on automated collections or API-based tools. Definitely worth submitting as a feature request, you’re not alone in needing this.
Before importing product csv, make a new column, anywhere on the spreadsheet. In the first cell, name it Collection. Put your collection titles in the associated cells according to the product.
If your store doesn’t already have the named collections, they will be created. But they will not have meta data included. Just raw collections with products. See the attached Shopify Help Section

Already mentioned, but I’d like to repeat – if your business is grown to utilize large number of collections, then using Matrixify is almost a requirement.
The app can export/import collections, manual and smart one, menus, and everything else which can be accessed via API – Matrixify App Instructions, Templates & Documentation
If your need is once-off, you can subscribe just for one month and remove it later (but most people prefer to keep it

This might be a great solution at the moment, but only if you’re the owner of that store. We cannot install this app without a payment setup. If you have collaboration access or the store is under development, this is not going to help. I tried installing it on one of my client’s stores, but it’s asking for preset payments, even for the trial.
While third-party apps like Matrixify are powerful, they present a hurdle for developers and collaborators. Since Shopify doesn’t natively support CSV imports for collections or menus, we’re forced to use apps that often require a payment method to be on file—even for a trial. This makes it difficult to implement if you’re working via collaborator access or on a development store where a payment setup hasn’t been established yet.
