Hi,
I have a login button on the top right hand side of my Shopify Website.
When a customer clicks on the Login Button, it takes to https://shopify.com/authentication to enter the email id.
Is there way to show it within my website URL, if that is not possible how to open it as Pop Up on myown website itself?
I don’t want to change the URL.
Thanks
Hey @paulson1 ! What you are seeing here is the result of using Shopify’s “new customer accounts” system, where the login/registration page is hosted directly by Shopify. Unfortunately this is not something that can be changed.
However, what you can do is change your shop’s customer account settings to use “classic customer accounts” where the login and registration pages will be hosted directly on your normal website and editable through your theme.
Thanks @Brett_Helium
I can see an option in Settings->Customer accounts->New customer accounts to change URL like “Use this URL anywhere you’d like customers to access new customer accounts”
I did not change the domain for the account there, but I was wondering if I change it whether that will connect to my domain instead of shopify domain.
Thanks
Hey @paulson1 , you can technically change the domain used for the new customer account pages, however note that this will only apply to the account pages for logged in customers, the actual login/registration page is not currently able to be changed and will always use the Shopify.com domain (https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/domains/add-a-domain/connecting-domains/connect-domain-customer-account)
