How to mandate both email & phone on checkout?

Here’s how you can require both email and phone number on the Shopify checkout page:

  1. Go to your Shopify admin and navigate to Settings > Checkout.
  2. Scroll down to the “Form options” (or equivalent) section.
  3. Under “Shipping address phone number”, select “Required”. This will make the phone field mandatory.
  4. The email field is required by default, so you don’t need to change anything there.
  5. Click “Save” at the bottom of the page to apply the changes.

Now when customers go through your checkout process, they will be required to enter both their email address and phone number to complete the purchase.

So I cant change the checkout form in any way? right?

With the basic plan, you can only change a few settings in the admin panel. For custom development on the checkout form, you need to subscribe to a more advanced plan (Pro, Plus, etc.), and it can be really expensive.

Correct. Only Shopify Plus stores can edit Checkout.

@Nu89 What types of changes do you want to make? There may be other ways to achieve the desired result.

I want them to shop as guest, but have the option to create an account in a click of a button
