Metafield data in Shop App

Hi folks,

I have added metafield data to my site which works fine on the website but does not appear in the Shop App.

Is there anything specific I need to do to allow metafield data?

Hi Eion,

The metafields appear on the storefront via a Liquid object, which unfortunately isn’t accessible to the Shop app. The team are planning to support metafields on the Shop app but there’s no public date for when this will be available.

Hello,

so this means metafields are not available in lets say a checkout ui extension?

If not, whats the alternative, to get settings that are defined in the admin UI of the app?
