Mobile version looks like desktop version

Hi!
I’m having issues with my webshop where the mobile version of my shop is showing the desktop. When I try to edit it in the online shop editor and switch to the mobile version it is shown the correct way but in the internet browser it is showing a desktop version.

Which device are you using to view your website? Whether your shop will be displayed with the mobile view or desktop view depends on the size of the screen or browser you are using to view the website.

When I go to your website from a cell phone I see the mobile view and when I visit your website from my desktop computer I see the desktop version. This is the expected behaviour so it appears to be working correctly on my end. I’ve included screenshots of examples below.

Hi Erin, thanks for your reply.

I will add screenshots from what my editor page is showing how it should look and how it looks om my iPhone.

You can see the header with the nav bar and shopping cart is way smaller om my Phone. Also things such as the collection should be a slider on the mobile version.

Thank you for those screenshots! I do see what you mean here and I can help troubleshoot this further. I just have a few questions to make sure I have the full context.

Which theme are you currently using? Have you used any page editing apps or edited your theme’s code? Also, was there ever a moment when this was working correctly?

I’m using the Dawn theme. I did edit the code to add some google analytics code and such in the theme liquid but I did not edit the structure of the site.
When I started I believe it was working correctly but i’m not sure when it changed.

Hi, @Mossiah . I’m happy to help you out with this! Which theme are you currently using? Can you also tell me more about how you want your website to look when customers view it from mobile devices? If you have any examples, that can help as well! I just want to make sure I’m giving you the best advice for your situation.

When I viewed the link you shared, I do see your storefront changing from a desktop view to a mobile view, depending on the device I view it from. I’ll include some screenshots below to show the difference on my end.

The way your storefront appears to customers will depend on the theme you’re using and how it’s set up in your theme editor. If you’d like to double check how your storefront is set up to look on desktop and mobile devices, you can do this by going to Online store > Themes > Customize (next to the theme you want to view). From here, you can switch between the desktop and mobile views using the setting shown below. If you’re noticing that what you see in your theme editor, isn’t what you see when you visit your website, I’d recommend speaking with your theme developer for further help as they would have the most information on your theme.
