Hi there, I there any way to export your Shopify Purchase Orders or have access to API to run reports with Sidekick or third party apps?
Currently I cannot find any way to achieve this. It seems the current set up to have to review each individual order independently with no way to export outstanding/ incoming inventory is no sufficient for a business of any size.
We are a mid-size business and only have 47 purchase orders but that is tracking over 115,000 products.
There should be a way to have API access or be able to export all PO’s into a CSV file so reports can be ran and filter by incoming. Similar to the export products feature.
Shopify purchase orders are also limited in the native export and API. Workaround is to sync PO information through Shopify Flow + Admin Exports to Airtable or Sheets then automate the incoming inventory reporting there. Most merchants that also use inventory apps with more powerful purchase analytics today straight out the gate for growing teams.
Hey, I found a hack to export all purchase orders to csv.
Basically, you need a script inside your browser console that can scrape the purchase orders one by one and export them in csv format.
I published a quick guide here on how to do this. It’s pretty simple and shouldn’t take more than 2-3 minutes even if you don’t know how to code.

Hopefully Shopify adds this feature soon. Until then I believe this is the only easy and free way.
Purchase orders always seem manageable until inventory starts getting weird and people need to trace back what actually happened.
Then suddenly you’re digging through supplier emails, warehouse notes, partial deliveries, spreadsheets, old PO updates, etc. trying to piece the timeline together.
That’s usually when the lack of exports/reporting becomes really painful.
Does this work with the new Purchase Order system that they somehow made worse?
