I’m working on building a third-party payment provider integration with Shopify. According to Shopify’s documentation, I understand that I need to create both a payment app and a corresponding payment extension, and link the extension to the app.
My goal is to display a credit card payment form on the Shopify checkout page. Could you please confirm whether the payment form rendered during checkout is managed by Shopify itself, or if I’m required to implement it through the payment extension within my payment app?
Just to clarify, I only need to show the basic credit card fields with no customisations.
