Payouts are paused without any reason.

Does anyone has this type of issue with Shopify?

As a long-standing and loyal customer of Shopify with a Grow plan, having used the platform without any issues for over four years. I am reaching out regarding an urgent and distressing matter: my Shopify payouts have been abruptly paused without any clear explanation or guidance.

On Sunday, I received an email from Shopify stating, “Payouts are on hold. Contact Support.” The email provided no further information, no explanation as to why my payouts were paused, nor any instructions on what information is required from my side to resolve the issue. Almost 22K has been on hold!

When I log into my Shopify dashboard, I am met with the following message: “Payouts are paused. Update Shopify Payments account details to resume payouts.” However, I am unable to identify any missing or outdated information, as all my account details are already up to date. There is no indication or prompt anywhere in my account as to what specifically needs to be updated.

I have now contacted Shopify Support multiple times and submitted several tickets, which have been escalated to the Business Operations Team. Despite these efforts, every interaction with support has resulted in the same response: they understand my situation but cannot see why my payouts are paused, nor can they advise what needs to be updated or provided. This is an unacceptable way to treat a customer who has been loyal to the platform for years.

As a business owner, I have ongoing obligations such as supplier payments, fixed company expenses, rent, vehicle costs, and payroll, all of which depend on the revenue generated via Shopify. The current hold on my payouts is putting my company in a critical financial situation, as I am unable to pay my suppliers or cover essential business costs.

At the very least, I request a clear explanation as to why my payouts have been paused, and what specific information or documentation is required from me to resolve this situation. I urgently need access to my funds to ensure the continuity of my business.

Will it help to go and start with legal action and escalate this matter to court, as it is unacceptable to withhold my revenue without any justification or communication?
