Please review my store.

Hey everyone,
I recently launched my store and would love your honest feedback! Whether it’s about the design, layout, branding, or overall feel — I’m open to all suggestions that can help me improve.

Thanks so much in advance for taking the time to check it out!

Your store looks excellent!

  • You have an intro explaining what your site’s purpose is
  • You have descriptions for the products for search engines
  • The pics look great
  • The only problem I see is that you have only a very few products
  • It will also take time for Google to crawl and index your site.

Hey! Congrats on launching your store — that’s a huge step.

One piece of feedback: the hero section feels like a missed opportunity. Right now it’s just a large image with no text or CTA. I’d recommend adding a clear concise (short) headline that tells visitors what your store is about or what makes it unique (useful for first impressions and SEO too). Pair that with a strong call-to-action button (like “Shop Now” or “Explore Collection”) so people know exactly where to go next.

Also, just a heads-up — Shopify’s built-in AI assistant (Sidekick) can help come up with a strong headline for your homepage. You can prompt it with:

“Can you write a headline for my homepage that explains what my store sells and gets people interested? Please look at my products to guide the wording.”

Sidekick can reference your actual product listings, so it gives copy suggestions that are more relevant to what you’re offering. Worth trying if you’re stuck!

Looking forward to seeing how the site evolves!

Hi @br14

Your store has a very pretty design and UI after accessing, which is very lovely to say. To get you better reviews on store contents, I have searched your website on Google, and let me share with you some ideas based on what I searched below:

  1. In Google Search, it seems like your store name is displayed via URL way, rather than the store name like “black and royal” directly. This is related to the settings on your store backend, but also due to the unclear information existing on your store when indexing by Google. It is better to optimize this part and display the store brand name directly, which is good for your conversion and further sales coming.

  1. There exists excessive meta description issue still on some search results. This means you have not fully optimized the page content properly, and Google still displays the previous index record. It is suggested to shorten the length of the meta description to 150 characters, so that visitors can see what you sell and the page highlights completely.

  1. I notice in your page search results, there are some prices displaying in meta description content, but not all of them. I guess it should be from the page content indexed by Google directly, but if you would like to have a unite pattern for displaying colorful elements like price, review or star ratings, you may need to consider Google Structured Data and by adding the proper code blocks from Shopify admin page, visitors can see more details and know better about page contents. If you are an amateur on the code aspect, you can also have a try with this tool that most users have used recently, and it can generate the related effects directly by clicking. Anyway, you can take measures to do some research and know better what you can do to boost store sales and get better performance. Hope your store makes more progress in the future with the help of my advice here. Cheers!

Hi, I’m Wayne from Akohub. We have been working with many brands to run online stores. After viewing your website, I believe our expertise could add value to your business.

  • First, the hero image is a bit blurry, which can affect the store’s first impression. Using a higher-resolution image will make your site look more polished and professional right from the start. Consider adding a clear CTA button like “Shop Now” or “Explore Collection” in the hero section will guide visitors smoothly toward browsing your products, improving navigation and boosting conversions.

  • I noticed that product categories have few selections. Expanding your product range in each category will give customers more options and encourage longer browsing sessions. Ensuring your menu and categories are clearly labeled and easy to navigate will further enhance the user experience.

  • Including customer reviews or testimonials can provide valuable social proof, which often helps increase trust and sales. You can try Shopify apps like Judge.Me, which can streamline the launching process of the review section.

Hello @br14

Nice start with the store — here are a few things that caught my eye, not so highly visible pages but you might want to have a look:

  1. On the FAQ page, some text isn’t properly aligned with the bullet points, and there are a few uneven gaps between questions and sections.

  1. The Terms of Service page still has placeholder text:

Hope this helps! You’ve got a solid foundation—just focus on building trust and clarity step by step. Keep us posted on how it goes.

Hello, @br14

Black & Royal has a very sleek and premium vibe — the dark theme, bold fonts, and elegant logo all work well to communicate a sense of luxury. That’s a strong foundation. Still, there are a few areas you could adjust to improve conversions and overall customer trust:

1.Build More Trust

Add clear policy pages (Shipping, Returns, Privacy) in your footer.
An “About Us” page with your brand story will give personality and credibility. Customers want to know who’s behind the brand before buying.
Consider ShopReviews ‑ Product Reviews - ShopReviews - Boost your sales with product reviews | Shopify App Store a strong start—make them more visible.
If you’re seeing traffic but no conversions, review whether the product truly solves a need, and make sure the site is professionally built—ads don’t fix underlying issues.

2.Product Presentation

Use more lifestyle photos (models wearing/using your products) instead of only studio shots. It helps visitors imagine themselves with the products.
Shorten product descriptions so the main benefits are clear at a glance. Highlight key things like quality, comfort, durability, exclusivity.

3.Improve Shopping Flow

Make “Add to Cart” buttons more visible (stand out color, sticky on mobile).
Simplify checkout — enable Shop Pay, PayPal, and guest checkout to reduce friction.
Add a currency converter if you plan to sell internationally.

4.Incentivize First-Time Buyers

Offer a small discount or free shipping popup (e.g., “Sign up & get 10% off your first order”).
Add urgency triggers: low-stock messages (“Only 3 left”) or countdown timers on sales.

5.Marketing & Traffic

Leverage Instagram/TikTok to showcase your products with reels, style tips, and user-generated content.
Consider bundling (e.g., “Buy 2, Save 15%”) to increase average order value.

If you’re also selling on Etsy, consider using an app like Etsy Integration ‑ ShopList - ShopList - seamless integration between Shopify and Etsy | Shopify App Store . It lets you sync your products and orders between Shopify and Etsy automatically, saving time and helping you manage inventory more efficiently—perfect for handmade or customized products like yours.

Hello br14, I’m BrainLee from the Samita Team.

I’ve reviewed your store and I have some suggestions for you:

1. To personalize an e-commerce store, you need to establish a unique color tone for your brand.
I’ve prepared a few color palette suggestions for you.

Color Palette: #37353E #44444E #715A5A #D3DAD9 - Color Hunt

2. Since your store sells artwork, it’s important to make a strong first impression with an impactful homepage.
Here’s a layout I recommend:

  • Hero Banner / Slideshow

  • Collection Highlights / Bestsellers / Featured Products

  • Personalized Recommendations

  • Shop by Artist / Curator Picks

  • Customer Reviews / Testimonials

  • Blog / Story Section (you can link this section to your detailed blog).

3. Your store is currently missing some key features such as product filtering, product options, request-for-quote options, and apps to highlight products. Here are my recommendations:

If you find my comment helpful, please give it a like. It will motivate me to continue contributing to the Shopify community.

Hey, I just checked out your site, congrats on the launch! :tada:

First off, I love the concept. Your message about celebrating Black excellence and culture comes across really strongly, and the overall site feels clean and professional.

Navigation is simple, which makes it easy to get around, and I like that you’ve already set up the basics like FAQ and contact info.

A couple of things you might want to look at:

  • The homepage could use a stronger visual punch, maybe a big hero image or one of your best canvases front and center.

  • The “Best Sellers” section looks like it’s still using placeholder products, so filling that out with real items will make the store feel more alive.

  • Spacing and layout tweaks (like adding a bit more breathing room between sections) would help guide the eye better.

  • Your “Our Story” page is a great spot to share more of Robert’s (or your brand’s) journey. A personal touch with photos or a short story can really connect with people.

  • A pop of accent color (like gold or deep blue) on buttons or headings could give the site a more premium feel.

  • And once you’ve had a few sales, adding testimonials or social proof would go a long way in building trust.

Overall though, The brand message is inspiring, and once you add in more visuals and product details, it’s going to look fantastic.
