Has anyone found a solution to printing the Order Page (Print → Order Page) (not Order Printer app), with a timeline that extends across multiple pages? When the timeline was one continuous time it was easy to print to PDF. This was especially helpful for Chargeback submissions.
Now that the timeline is across multiple pages by use of arrows to switch pages, the Print Order Page only prints whatever is displayed.
Shopify should revert to the continuous timeline or provide an option to print the order page with all timeline details.
The comments by Shopify Support were to print multiple and then merge within a PDF editor, but for chargeback disputes, this looks like the Order History has been altered when this is done, which I do not want.
For printing the Order Page with a multi-page timeline, consider using a screenshot tool to capture the entire timeline in one go instead of printing directly from the browser. You can take a screenshot of each section and then compile them into a single PDF using a PDF editor. If you need all timeline details for chargeback disputes, this method maintains the integrity of the order history better than merging multiple printed pages. Alternatively, providing feedback on this feature request to Shopify might help them consider improvements in future updates.
Thanks - I did use the screenshot method, but trying to get each page to left align perfectly so it didn’t look like it was copied/pasted in there took more time than I wanted. Also the resolution was different with the screenshot than the 1st page printed to PDF, so subsequent pages you could tell weren’t exactly the same. It was good enough though.
I did already provide the feature request to Shopify when talking with the advisor, although these mostly go untouched unless more and more people start raising the issue, so wanted to post here as well to see if others had the same issue and also raised it.
