saved changes are not being applied

whenever i make changes in my website and save them i can see the changes in the editing mode but if i open the website there are no changes made. can someone tell me how to correct this glitch or error? this is only for the homepage, changes made to other pages are saved and are visible on the website except the homepage changes. theme dawn
