I received an email stating there are problems with the configuration of my store from this email address: info.shopifymerchantsteam.com@gmail.com
is this a legit email address from Shopify? Because it looked pretty legit

It’s a scam email because Shopify would never contact you from any other domain (like gmail.com) except for shopify.com domain so there’s nothing to worry about and for safety precautions it is always recommended to not share any information to scam emails.

These scam emails are unfortunately becoming more rampant nowadays so hopefully something should be done to curb them soon. Always remember that as a rule of thumb, Shopify will NEVER use a Gmail account for any email purposes.
