I cannot find support on this topic and have followed all of the instructions of manually syncing costs and turning off/on automatic cost syncing. I have also applied unit cost to historical orders.
I currently have a large number of products with no costs and I cannot figure out why the costs are not syncing from Stocky over to Shopify. There are many historical orders that include these products.
I enter all costs on Purchase Orders in Stocky.
Can anyone help me try to resolve what may be happening?
Hi @foveo ,
I hope this message finds you well.
Try with one test product → confirm sync from a received PO.
If that works, but bulk doesn’t, then some products are missing proper links.
If nothing works, export → reimport via CSV into Shopify to reset your baseline costs.
I have looked into this further and discovered that this may just be a problem with the Shopify Reports.
The Shopify Report - Net sales without cost by order - is showing sales of products with no cost. But when I look at the product/variant, there is certainly the correct cost there.
So, is this perhaps an error with the Shopify report?
Additionally, when I create an orders report and filter with ‘cost is recorded > no’, it returns a lot of orders and on the report it shoes the COGS as $0.00. But when I go through and look at the actual item, it shows the Cost.
Can you please help me understand so I can get accurate reporting?
It looks like the product cost was updated after the sale, or the cost wasn’t captured from Stocky. Shopify reports only display the product cost as it was at the time of the sale. If you’d like to add cost details to past orders, you can use a third party reporting app like Report Pundit or another similar tool, then manually add the data to a Google Sheet and sync it for tracking.
