Hey guys I had stripe set up in my shopify store, but had to switch to shopify payments for a customer and when I wanted to switch back to stripe after deactivating shopify payments I couldnt find stripe anyome anywhere… what is this??
Hi @vervrst
Actually, Stripe is no longer available as a standalone option in many regions where Shopify Payments is supported. Once you activate Shopify Payments, it replaces Stripe, and you can’t switch back unless Shopify Payments is fully deactivated (which might not be possible depending on your country).
If Stripe isn’t showing up in your payment provider list, check Settings > Payments to see if it’s available in your region. If not, you may need to use Shopify Payments or look into third-party gateways like Adyen or Authorize.net.
Hi @vervrst Stripe is no longer available as a payment provider in Shopify if Shopify Payments is supported in your region as a standalone payment gateway. Once you switch to Shopify Payments, you won’t be able to re-enable Stripe as a separate gateway.
