Translate & Adapt Problem

Hello everybody!

Recently, I tried to make some changes to my store’s translations. However, whenever I open the translations for “Templates”, most of the pages don’t show either the reference and the existing translations.

For example, when I open a page, the reference texts and translations briefly appear, but then disappear after a second, this doesn’t let me update anything.

What could be causing this?

I actually ran into this same issue not long ago while updating translations on a multilingual store, the text fields in “Templates” would flash for a second and then disappear, making it impossible to edit anything.

In most cases, this happens because of a theme JSON sync bug or translation app conflict (especially if you’re using Shopify Translate & Adapt or another translation app together). Here’s what usually helps:

  1. Clear your browser cache and try again in a private/incognito window.

  2. Temporarily disable any translation or SEO apps that also modify language data, then reopen “Templates.”

  3. Check your theme files — if your templates were recently duplicated or renamed, Shopify can lose the reference link between the template and its translation file.

If none of that works, there’s a simple way to manually restore the references by editing the locale JSON file directly, if you don’t mind, I could come in for you if coding is a bit technical for you.

Hello everyone,

I’m having the same problem.
When translating blog posts using the Translate & Adapt App, most of the content gets translated, but the content within “paragraphs” does not.
The content of these paragraphs is also not displayed, even in the original language, during translation.

I’ve already tried all of Mikkynat’s suggestions, but none of them solve the issue.

Are there any other possible solutions?
