How do I update my theme to the latest version while keeping my store the same?

@boxingcentral Click on available update and add the updated theme to the theme library. Check its preview and if all looks good then publish the updated theme to live.
Please note, the custom code added in theme are removed from the theme files. you have to manually add those code in updated theme

You can update the theme by 'Click on available update and add the updated theme to your store. Once you update the theme please check the site if it as per your live theme or not. Please note you have to add all the theme customization again to the new theme. Once done please check the preview and if all is good then publish it.
PLEASE NOTE: You have to move the custom code from old theme to the new theme. So if you are not good in technical then seek help of a developer to move all the changes to the new theme.

This error is occuring because the sections does not contain the block settings. First copy the sections from old theme to new theme and then paste the settings_data.json file.
