Why can't I manually add bundle products in my order?

Hi,

I was really happy to find out recently Shopify released a bundle app to create and manage bundle.

Unfortunately today when I went to create a manual order with some “product” in the bundle app, says

“Bundles can’t be added to orders”

This does not make much sense, because as customer can order pre-setted bundle product so I should or who for me, be able to add bundle product to my order.

Add them one by one, defeat completely the utility of the bundle app.

Unfortunately I can’t even add a screenshot of the error as image aren’t supported.

Actually even adding manually I see I can’t add manually more then one variant per order, this do not make sense.

What i mean, even in the manual order if I select model M, size L, once added, to add a second item with same Model and size it says it has already been added(and even so, a better option would be to have a counter for the amount)

@CarmineT : Did you find a solution? I have the same problem here… and it’s frustrating…

For now I have found a solution, using the shopify recentely introduced bundle app:

https://apps.shopify.com/shopify-bundles

yes, this one https://apps.shopify.com/shopify-bundles

It does not work

Would love to see this being resolved asap

Indeed, one still need to add each item for draft order.

It does work only for order made by customer in frontend.

Indeed this is another small bug

It doesn’t seem like a small bug. They have written code specifically to give feedback stating it’s not allowed. WHY this is, is another question.

+1 this is preventing us from testing new bundle SKUs within Ship Station to see if they come over properly using their bundle feature.

Does anyone who reads this have any understanding of why this limitation was placed? I’d just like to know if this is an oversight or a specific decision to address a specific use-case that could cause trouble? And if so, please articulate the use-case.

This is a big problem for us as some products are not supposed to be bought without buying a bundle. Which means some of the bundle products are drafts. This means we can’t include them in the orders we create. I really hope this gets resolved soon!

+1 for us, this is causing big problems with a client of mine for a store we just launched. Please help, Shopify!

It looks like this still hasn’t been resolved… come on Shopify
