Why does my drop down menu not appear on hover sometimes?

Hello,

I’m hoping someone can help here. The drop down menu I have in my header on occasion will not drop down when you hover the cursor over it. Only after you click on different menu option will the drop down menu reappear again (as per the pick below).

You may need to move the cursor across the screen a few times to trigger the conflict. Any suggestions on how to address this are most appreciated. Thank you.

it will work on hover as well.
