Customizing customer accounts

Customer accounts on your online store offer some default options for helping your customers self-manage their orders and information. You can add extra functionality to your customer accounts pages with apps, and match the customer accounts pages to your branding using the checkout and accounts editor.

Customer accounts include the following pages that you can customize to match your store's branding:

  • Sign-in: The sign-in page is where customers sign in to their customer account with their email address or any social sign-in options that you've made available. If you don't want to have a separate sign-in page, then you can install a Shopify theme that supports the account component, which offers a sign-in experience as a modal on the online store instead.
  • Orders: The orders page displays a gallery or list of your customer's orders, including options to complete outstanding payments or repurchase the items.
  • Order status: The order status page is a page available for each of your customer's orders. This page includes the complete order summary, including tracking information.
  • Profile: The profile page lets customers manage their own profile information, such as their contact information, addresses, and saved payment methods.

You can also customize your customer accounts page URLs with a subdomain, such as account.your-store.com to enhance customer trust.
