Understanding analytics and insights in the Shopify Collective app

You can take steps to improve your sales performance by viewing your store analytics and insights with Shopify Collective.

View your store analytics with Shopify Collective

You can view store analytics for Shopify Collective with the following types of reports:

  • Collective sales
  • Orders
  • Earnings
  • Sales by supplier
  • Orders by product
  • Orders by category

You can click any sales, orders, or earnings link to view a full report in the Analytics > Reports section of your Shopify admin.

Steps:

  1. From your Shopify admin, go to Apps > Collective.

  2. Optional: To change the date range for your Shopify Collective analytics, click the Last 30 days drop-down menu, select the date range that you want to view, and then click Apply.

  3. To view a full report that you're interested in, click any sales, orders, or earnings link.

View your store insights with Shopify Collective

Depending on how long you've used Shopify Collective for, how many sales and orders you've had, and the types of products that your customers are interested in, you might get the following Insights cards displayed in your Shopify Collective app:

  • Milestones: These cards display in the following scenarios:
    • When you make your first Collective sale and reach other overall Collective sales landmarks.
    • When all your Collective products, or particular products, reach specific milestones for how many times they've been viewed by your customers.
    • When particular products reach specific sales landmarks.
  • Customer searches: These cards display when customers are searching for particular types of products on your store but aren't finding any relevant results. You can consider adding these products to meet customer demand and boost your sales.
  • Popular/complementary products: These cards display when there are opportunities to add similar or complementary products to the product types that are already popular with your customers.

Insights cards provide visibility into your sales and order milestones, customer purchase trends, complementary products, and product search gaps, to help you build a Shopify Collective product catalog that fully meets customer demand on your store.

Steps:

  1. From your Shopify admin, go to Apps > Collective.

  2. In the Insights section, do any of the following:

    • For a milestone card:
      1. Click View report.
      2. View the full report in the Analytics > Reports section of your Shopify admin.
    • For a products card:
      1. Click Find products.
      2. In the Discovery section of your Shopify Collective app, add or request access for any products that you want to sell on your store.
