Shop Pay on any platform
You can add Shop Pay to your existing commerce platform without migrating to Shopify. When a customer with a Shop Pay account reaches your checkout, Shop Pay recognizes them and pre-fills their shipping, billing, and payment information so they can complete their purchase in one tap. Adding Shop Pay connects your store to over 250 million customers in the Shop Pay network and can increase your checkout conversion rate.

Requirements to add Shop Pay on any platform
To use Shop Pay on any platform, your store must meet the following requirements:
- Your checkout collects the customer's email address before payment.
- Your business is eligible for Shopify Payments.
- Your store is located in a country or region where Shopify Payments is available.
- You or a developer working with you has experience with API integration, as completing the setup requires working directly with the Shop Pay Wallet API.
Included features of Shop Pay on any platform
When you add Shop Pay to your platform, you get the following features:
- Shop Pay button: Add the Shop Pay button to your product pages, cart, and checkout. Customers with a Shop Pay account can complete their purchase in one tap using their saved shipping and payment information.
- Shop Pay Installments: Eligible customers in Canada, the United States, and the United Kingdom can split their purchase into interest-free payments or monthly installments. Shop Pay Installments is included by default for merchants in those markets. Additional transaction fees apply.
- Order tracking: After a customer completes a purchase, the customer can track the order in the Shop app.
Add Shop Pay to your platform
To integrate Shop Pay with your platform, complete the following steps before your customers can check out with Shop Pay:
- Sign up for Shop Pay to access a Shopify admin containing the credentials that you need to integrate Shop Pay with your store.
- Set up Shopify Payments so that you can accept payments and receive payouts.
- Use your API credentials to add the Shop Pay button to your product pages, cart, and checkout.
Sign up for Shop Pay
Before you can use Shop Pay, sign up through the Shop Pay landing page. After you sign up, you get access to a Shopify admin where you can set up Shopify Payments, connect your domains, customize your brand, and retrieve the API credentials that you need to integrate Shop Pay.
Steps:
- Go to the Shop Pay sign-up page and click Sign up.
- Enter your business details and complete the sign-up process.
Set up Shopify Payments
After you sign up, activate Shopify Payments so that you can accept payments through Shop Pay and receive payouts to your bank account. Learn more about setting up your Shopify Payments account.
Steps:
From your Shopify admin, go to Settings > Payments.
In the Shopify Payments section, click Activate Shopify Payments.
Enter the required personal, address, and identification information, and then click Next.
Enter the required information about your business.
Enter the phone number that you want to display on your customer's bank statement, and then click Next.
Review your Business type and Store details, and then click Confirm.
Click Submit for verification.
After your account is verified, in the Shopify Payments section, click Connect a bank account, enter your bank account details, and then click Save.
Integrate Shop Pay into your checkout
After you've signed up for Shop Pay and set up Shopify Payments, use your API credentials to add the Shop Pay button to your product pages, cart, and checkout.
Steps:
From your Shopify admin, go to Sales channels > Shop.
In the Integrate Shop Pay section, note your Shop ID, Client ID, Admin API, and Storefront API credentials.
Click View documentation and review the Shop Pay Wallet API documentation to add the Shop Pay button to your product pages, cart, and checkout.
Connect your domains
After you sign up, connect the domains that you use with your existing checkout so that Shop Pay can recognize customers on your store.
Steps:
From your Shopify admin, go to Sales channels > Shop.
In the Domains section, click Add domain URL.
Enter the domain that your store uses for checkout, and then click Save.
Repeat for any additional domains that your store uses.
Set up your brand on Shop
Customizing your brand helps customers recognize your store in the Shop app and on Shop Pay order confirmation screens.
Steps:
From your Shopify admin, go to Sales channels > Shop.
In the Your brand on Shop section, click Manage.
Add a Store description to give customers insight into your brand and products. The description can be up to 320 characters.
Upload a Store avatar to represent your brand in Shop search results, product pages, and recommendations. Use a HEIC, WEBP, SVG, PNG, or JPG file. The minimum recommended size is 512 × 512 pixels.
In the Store policies section, click Manage to add your privacy, shipping, and return policies.
Add your Contact information, including a contact URL, email address, and phone number.
Under Social links, add links to your Instagram, Facebook, and Pinterest profiles.
Click Save.
