Meses sin intereses
You can offer eligible customers in Mexico the option to pay for their order in interest-free monthly installments with Shopify Payments. This payment method is known as meses sin intereses. Offering meses sin intereses can help customers complete larger purchases by splitting the total cost across multiple payments. If you use Shopify Payments in Mexico, then you can activate meses sin intereses with no additional onboarding requirements.

Eligible payment methods
Meses sin intereses is available only for credit card payments. Debit cards aren't eligible. The customer's card-issuing bank determines eligibility, and not all Mexican credit cards qualify for meses sin intereses. Eligibility applies only to transactions processed in Mexican Peso (MXN).
Available installment plans
The following table lists the available plans and minimum order totals for meses sin intereses.

Each plan is available only to eligible customers. Customers can view only the plans that they qualify for based on their card and order total.
Payment rates for meses sin intereses
Additional fees apply when a customer pays using meses sin intereses. You can view the installment fees for your Shopify Payments account in your Shopify admin.

Steps:
From your Shopify admin, go to Settings > Payments.
In the Shopify Payments section, click Manage.
Click Manage payment methods.
Click View payment rates.
In the Local payment methods section, review your payment rates for Meses sin intereses.
Activate meses sin intereses
If you're new to Shopify Payments in Mexico, then meses sin intereses is activated automatically when you complete Shopify Payments setup.
If you already have Shopify Payments set up, then you can activate meses sin intereses manually in your Shopify admin.
Steps:
From your Shopify admin, go to Settings > Payments.
In the Shopify Payments section, click Manage.
In the Local payment methods section, for Meses sin intereses, click Manage.
Select the installment plans that you want to offer.
Click Save.
Meses sin intereses customer checkout experience
When a customer enters an eligible credit card at checkout, an installment drop-down menu displays in the credit card form. The drop-down menu displays only the plans that the customer's card qualifies for, based on the card's issuing bank and the order total.
Customers can select a plan from the drop-down, or choose to pay in full. Paying in full is the default selection.
After a customer completes a purchase using meses sin intereses, the installment details display on the order confirmation page and in the customer's order details.
