Shop Promise
Shop Promise is a Shopify program that displays delivery dates and badges on product pages, during checkout, and in the Shop app to communicate fast and reliable shipping to your customers. Shop Promise recognizes merchants who consistently ship and deliver fast and represent the top 1% of shippers on Shopify. The program is available for domestic orders in the United States that are estimated to arrive in five or fewer calendar days.
Eligibility and activation
To use Shop Promise, you must meet eligibility requirements that ensure fast and reliable delivery performance. Eligible merchants receive a notification in their Shopify admin offering the chance to activate Shop Promise. After activation, you can view analytics to track your Shop Promise orders and delivery performance.
How delivery dates are calculated
Shopify uses your order fulfillment history and reliable transit time approximations to determine expected delivery dates. In some cases, the delivery date might be longer than the actual delivery time when an order needs to be transported a long distance or was placed during off-fulfillment hours. Shop Promise might display less frequently during periods of volatility, such as extended carrier transit times. Shop Promise is a Shopify guarantee based on historical fulfillment and shipment transit data, not a carrier-provided estimate. Shipping rates and order types
You can use flat or calculated shipping rates with Shop Promise, but consider using generic rate names such as "Standard" or "Express" rather than specific transit times. Some order types aren't eligible for Shop Promise, including orders outside the United States, pre-orders, and products with zero inventory.
Displaying Shop Promise
You can control where the Shop Promise badge is displayed in your store. Shop Promise displays on product pages for eligible products and during checkout. You can also customize how Shop Promise appears in order confirmation emails sent to customers.
