Ignition is scalable, with unlimited licensing and in constant evolution

    Reviewed on Jul 23, 2026
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
From our experience at 2Gi Iberia, I would especially highlight the scalability of Ignition, favored by its unlimited licensing model.

Added to this is Inductive Automation's commitment to the continuous improvement of the platform through new versions and functionalities. This is a fundamental aspect, as it provides the confidence of working with a technology that is future-ready, constantly evolving, and supported by a very active community.
What do you dislike about the product?
The flexibility of Ignition is one of its greatest strengths, but it can also pose an initial challenge. By offering so many possibilities, it is essential to define a good architecture, establish development standards, and apply good practices from the start. Otherwise, projects can become difficult to maintain as they grow in size and complexity.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ignition allows us to centralize, normalize, and contextualize industrial data, becoming a key component for implementing Unified Namespace (UNS) architectures.

Thanks to a common information model, data no longer remains isolated in machines, lines, or applications and becomes available, in real-time and with the appropriate context, for any authorized system.

On this architecture, we can develop all kinds of solutions. The data is generated only once, contextualized, and reused throughout the organization, which promotes scalability, reduces the complexity of integrations, and accelerates the implementation of new use cases.

What do you dislike about the product?
The Reporting Module is a bit outdated, especially when comparing it visually to what Perspective UI now brings to the table with stylesheets
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

    Amazing Software

    Reviewed on Jul 22, 2026
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
I love that Ignition is a product with a rich community and has become very developer-friendly, especially with Ignition 8.3. I appreciate its easy user interface and how it helps my team keep all our data in one place. It's relatively easy to use and develop with, making it ideal for controlling equipment in my lab. The product's tie-ins with MCPs and the ease of edibility really put Ignition above the rest. It allows me to easily whip up a very safe screen for my projects, making development quicker in a fast-paced environment.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think Ignition can be improved a bit. Version 8.3 was a great step forward, but it still has some legacy issues. I also think it could have more ease of use. I'm not sure what the plan is for Python three directly in Ignition, but I think that would be nice. Maybe MCP will solve that. It works well overall.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ignition solves a lot of problems, offering an easy interface with our lab system, keeping all my data in one place, and making control of lab equipment straightforward. It's also relatively easy to use and develop with.

Ignition's Software Promotes Rapid Development and Deployment with a Modern Feel

    Reviewed on Jul 21, 2026
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
Ignition is a wonderful platform for rapid development and deployment. It’s backed by an equally impressive organization that keeps its customers in mind as it continues refining the product. The CSS-driven UX helps keep everything dynamic and modern, qualities that aren’t always associated with manufacturing software.
What do you dislike about the product?
very few downsides with the software in the space.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ignition creates a platform that connects everything for PLC's to ERPs, and everything in-between.

Ignition’s Flexible Development with Minimal Code

    Reviewed on Jul 18, 2026
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
Ignition is extremely flexible for developers. Once you start designing screens you will realize that the code needed is minimal compared to other design studios.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes, since there are so many ways to accomplish a task within Ignition, you can get bogged down with finding the right way.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have used Ignition to handle functions that SAP Digital Manufacturing could not. Integrating with PLC's, performing a database lookup, and returning a response to the PLC in less than 150ms. SAP DM takes 3s minimum.
