Google Analytics Enhanced Ecommerce setup

Hey All,

I am using Shopify’s GA enhanced eCommerce connector. Sales discrepancy between GA and Shopify has increased significantly. It used to be less than 10%, now it is almost 90%, We are only tracking a fraction of sales in GA now. It started around Feb 14th, We have not made any changes to both Shopify and GA. I looked into the all settings, everything seems to be properly set up. Does anyone know what could be causing this issue?

Someone usually does change something that causes such a drop. It’s a case of not knowing.

The biggest drop in GA sales tracked I’ve seen for someone who has made “no edits” is enabling privacy setting options in Shopify > Online Store > Preferences:

Apps can also dictate the delivery of tracking information so check there as well.

With those simple checks, you can dive deeper to see if the reporting deficit also occurs more up the funnel. You may find add to carts yet alone a page view for those people are not happening. Run a GA debugger extension in the browser to see on your end, but this may miss the 90%. I also suggest doing a Google Analytics audit using a free checklist we have.
