Is there ANY way to show the actual ordered items in the Admin Orders page? Or another solution?

I’m trying to find a solution to be able to see the ordered items on the Orders page - without having to click on each order individually.

Even better would be the ability to expand each order row to show all items and the customer’s address. This could make the fulfilment process 90% faster for me.

Clicking each order to view the details is getting surprisingly time consuming.

I think there should be a way to view all orders, including ordered items and delivery addresses, within the row of the Orders page. It would be great to also have a fulfilment button on each order row that allows scanning the tracking code and marking the order as fulfilled.

There must be a way to achieve all this on one page without clicking into each order. Even just showing the ordered items and quantities would be hugely beneficial.

If anyone has any suggestions, I would be most grateful.

The current way to see items per order on orders on the order admin is to click the little arrow in the Items column, this shows an overlay tooltip of the items; but it only shows one orders items tooltip at a time it’s not possible to expand all of them to be inline subrows.

Hi @SleepcoNZ The native order admin doesn’t have support for configuration/customizations for sub properties to show on their own rows per order.

The just to reduce clicks the closest way is setup automations to put line-item names etc in the order.note which is shown in the orders list as hoverable note icon :bomb: but this may show to customers in place like order notifications etc.

So it’s external workflows only: using an ERP or WMS etc, apps for custom “order management” "order dashboards, services such as retool to build such custom dashboards,

use order CSV export to a custom google-sheet or excel workfow, or through the browser using userstyles & usercripts or specific extensions if possible at all.

Order admin - order row Items clickable tooltip overlay

Orders admin - order row order.note hoverable tooltip overlay

Thank you Paul,

Your information has been helpful. I will look into external workflows. Do you think this feature could be recommended to the Shopify Devs?

If not having an option for a view of all orders expanded, it would be very helpful to be able to expand one order row, where all current expandable details are revealed in that row. (A master expand arrow for that order). The row then expands to show all the details.

I absolutely love Shopify, this is my only gripe. It would also be great to see an “add tracking (barcode)” icon on that order row to scan in the tracking details and send tracking details - again without having to click into the order.

I appreciate your response :slightly_smiling_face:

Hello. I stumbled across your query as I had the same one and it still does not seem that there is a direct solution to what we are looking for however I wanted to share my makeshift solution that somewhat does the what we are trying to accomplish.

I select all orders that are unfulfilled and then click print packing slip. I then change the amounts of orders that display per sheet/page to show as many orders as possible and then I open the pdf it creates instead of printing it and I can see all my unfulfilled orders on 1x page with their items.
