Products/pictures with different frames

Hi, I´m new here, so hello everyone.

I´m trying to find out if there is an app or something that can show my pictures with different frames and maybe passepartout.
I can´t find it.. so here is a link: Dolce Far Niente – Poster & Frame Art Group.

I think it can be done much more sofisthicatet, but here you can see the idea.

Thank you / Michael

Hi @Michael_M,

I hope you’re doing well. If you want to show different frame type options with swatches, you can use the Product Option feature in the Inkybay – Product Personalizer app.

With the Product Option feature, you can easily create image swatch options for different variants. Each variant can have its own image or swatch. When customers select a specific option, the corresponding image will show up automatically. You can also create a different frame swatch option for different sizes.

Inkybay also lets you create different product options like text fields, file attachment options, single/multiple choice options, etc., and display them as drop-down options, radio buttons, swatches, checkboxes, etc. Also, you can set extra pricing for each option.

No coding is required, and a simple setup. The best part of Inkybay is that it offers a free 21-day trial so you can explore it without any cost and see how it works for your product.

Hi @Michael_M

This can also be done with custom coding.

Hi @Michael_M,

I checked the demo you shared. This setup is usually handled by product variants (e.g. different frames/passepartout), and most modern Shopify themes support it. You can look into how to set up image variants in Shopify to achieve a similar result. Refer link

If you’re looking for more advanced customization (like live preview, more complex options), you might want to explore ‘Custom Product’ apps on the Shopify App Store.

Welcome to the community, Michael!

Showing posters with dynamic frame selections and custom passe-partouts (mats) is a brilliant way to increase sales. To do this beautifully without slow loading times, you need to combine a realistic mockup setup with a clean options layout.

  • For the Visual Framing Effects: Use a specialized art app like Frame Up or LIVEARf. These apps are built specifically for galleries and dynamically place your poster artwork inside different custom wood borders and mats right on the screen.

  • For a Clean, Sophisticated Layout: When adding multiple frame types, sizes, and mat styles, your product page can quickly look cluttered. To organize these choices cleanly, use a Native App Embed like Misk Variant & Product Options.

  • Instead of clunky text dropdowns, Misk lets you display your framing materials as sleek Image Swatches and visual buttons. Because it is native-first, it loads instantly with zero theme flicker or mobile page lag.

That’s what it looks like after setup.

Thank you so much for your message. I will take a look at inkybay. Thanks / Michael

Uhhh, im not that technical, so coding is unfortanately not an option. Do you know anyone that can do it and for a fair price?

But right now I have to take a look at Inkybay and check out the price and its look.

Thank you so much / Michael

Thank you for your time, Ill take a look. Thank you / Michael

wow, nice, I will look at it soon. Thank you so much / MIchael

Hi @Michael_M :raising_hands:

If you’re looking for a way to let customers preview different options such as frames, sizes, orientation, or even passepartout directly on the product page, you may want to take a look at Easify Product Options. :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

To help you visualize it better, I’ve created a similar demo:

  • This is the result:

  • This is the app setting:

With Easify, you can create options such as Size, Orientation, Frame, or any other customization choices you’d like to offer. Then, in the Design Layers section, simply upload the image layers that correspond to each option.

Next, go to Advanced Settings, enable Conditional Logic, and set up the display rules for each layer. For example, when a customer selects Black Frame, the black frame layer will appear; when they select No Frame, the frame layer will be hidden. You can use the same approach for different orientations or various passepartout styles as well.

Once everything is set up, just go to Product Personalizer and enable Live Preview. As customers change their selections on the product page, the preview image will update instantly to reflect their chosen configuration.

What I really like about this approach is that everything can be managed directly within the app, without requiring any theme code edits. Customers can see a real-time preview of their finished artwork with different frame styles, sizes, and other options, making the shopping experience much more visual and engaging.

Hi @Michael_M.How are you,it is great to have you in our community.

Finding the app is such a difficult task but you are doing a great job.
You should try using the product customizer app like:
