Store credit for B2B customers with Net terms? Integration with Brightpearl

My store is mainly a b2B store and we offer net terms to a couple of our customers. also, I use BrightPearl as a ERP/CRM system to process our orders and manage them.

The big issues that I have if that some customers had store credits. The credit that exsist in brightpearl needs to link to the credit in shopify, so that when a payment is processed in shopify using a credit, it will relflect the same in brightpearl.

I added storecredits to my site but they dont work on B2B customers or customers with Net terms.

Is there an app that maybe can help me to solved this issue?

Maybe someone from Shopify can confirm, but store credits are owned by customers, not company locations. Hence I don’t think customer’s payment such as store credit would be applicable on a B2B order. That’s why vaulted cards are stored on company locations, I’d assume.

If Brightpearl is syncing the accounting side, the piece that usually still bites people is checkout itself, not the ledger. Net terms tell you when a customer pays, but nothing in native Shopify stops a rep-approved wholesale account from placing a $10k order when they’re still sitting on $8k unpaid from last month. That gap has to be closed at checkout, before the order is created, since by the time it hits Brightpearl for invoicing it’s already too late to say no.

Full disclosure: I built TermShield ( TermShield - Block B2B checkout when a company exceeds its credit limit | Shopify App Store ) - it blocks B2B checkout when a customer would exceed the credit limit you set, independent of whatever terms or accounting sync you’re running on the back end.

Happy to answer questions if you’re trying to figure out where this should sit relative to your Brightpearl setup.
