What's the best app for upselling and cross-selling?

Which upselling & cross-selling app should I use? I would be glad to hear your advice

Great question and as you mentioned there are several cross and upselling apps in the Shopify App store. There is even an upselling and cross-selling section in the app store! There are a few apps which I like the most for this feature though. Let’s take a look at them below:

There are some more, but I feel these are the best one’s i’ve come across personally. It could be worth your time to try some of these out as they do have free plans and 30 day trials, so you can see which one works best for you risk free!

Absolutely check multiple apps when looking for solution.

For upsells, there are multiple touch points in a customer journey. From product page, to cart, to post purchase and further, upsells will add revenue when deployed correctly. I analysed a 1000 users of SellUp and found product page based upsells gave the best return. For example, Action upsells show after a customer has already added a product to cart so shopping intent is already confirmed. As a result, selling more of the right stuff will naturally occur from this.

Of course with upsells (a.k.a cross-sells, the term has been diluted recently but think of it as “selling more”), you need to create offers that make sense. Golf tees make a great upsell when you buy golf balls right? If you get the upsells right, they will up your sales.

Upsells is a really important part of increasing your average order value and profit as a merchant - it’s a good thing that you are looking into it!

Hello can hypecart show where a customer’s cart is in relation to different promotional tiers ? For example, how far away they are from tier 1 at $50, tier 2 at $100, tier 3 at $150 etc. encouraging them to add to their cart whatever the amount so that they achieve the levels determined for promotions?

Actually there is nothing to the best. It depends on your business, which type of upsell cross sell features are you looking for. We primarily use Cross Sell & Upsell Popup which focuses on popups. For our clients, it adds an additional 20% to their revenue and significantly increases AOV.

There are a bunch of great upsell and cross-sell apps, depending on what you’re looking for:

ReConvert – Best for post-purchase upsells on thank-you pages.
Honeycomb Upsell & Cross-Sell – Great for in-cart and checkout upsells.
Frequently Bought Together – Perfect if you want an Amazon-style “Customers also bought” section.
Bold Upsell – Pop-up based upsells before checkout.

If you want a smooth, non-pushy upsell, ReConvert is solid for post-checkout, and Honeycomb works great in-cart. What kind of products do you sell? Might help narrow it down!

We’ve testing and used many of the upsell apps. Certainly Reconvert and Bold have great options and are also market leaders.

We have Optizen Video Upsell. It’s kind of a unique idea. Instead of static upsells, you can add a video (either your own or via AI) on product pages. It’s a nice way to engage directly with upsells at the right time.

I can see you have found your solution. But if you want to try or check other alternate options, you can go for PushBundle- Build a Box app to increase your upselling and cross selling.

This app have cross-sell bundle feature that allows you to display and sell frequently bought-together products directly on the product page while offering discounts with them. You can also setup where to show these cross-sell products and which includes showing your cross sell products within the selected products or specific collections or any other products than the selected one.
